...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and eastern New York, including
  the following counties, in east central New York, Rensselaer,
  Saratoga, Schenectady and Washington. In eastern New York, Fulton
  and Montgomery.

* WHEN...Until 915 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 615 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Schenectady, Troy, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Amsterdam,
    Cohoes, Gloversville, Johnstown, Scotia, Mechanicville,
    Hoosick Falls, Salem, Fonda, Glenville, Niskayuna, Milton,
    Ballston Spa, Fort Edward, Corinth and Fort Plain.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
