...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT LOS ALAMOS...SOUTHEASTERN RIO
ARRIBA...NORTHEASTERN SANDOVAL AND NORTHWESTERN SANTA FE COUNTIES
THROUGH 500 PM MDT...

At 430 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Los Alamos, moving south at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Los Alamos, White Rock, Bandelier National Monument, and Frijoles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
