...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN COLFAX COUNTY
THROUGH 630 PM MDT...

At 605 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Raton, moving east at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Raton, Sugarite, and Sugarite Canyon State Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 447 and 456.
 Highway 64 between Mile Markers 350 and 359.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
