The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Mora County in northeastern New Mexico...
  North Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 545 AM MDT.

* At 407 AM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 5 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Valmora, Watrous and Shoemaker.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 356 and 380.
State Road 104 between Mile Markers 1 and 5.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
