...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM MDT THIS
EVENING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL SANDOVAL COUNTY...

At 835 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing light
to moderate rain continuing across the warned area. Between 0.5 and
1.25 inches of rain have previously fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Corrales, Mariposa, Rio Rancho City
  Center, Northern Meadows, Enchanted Hills, Vista Hills, Coronado
  State Monument and Sandia Pueblo.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 550 between Mile Markers 1 and 13.
Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 236 and 240.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
