...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING
FOR CENTRAL VALENCIA COUNTY...

At 446 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms have ended across the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen over parts of the area. Additional rainfall amounts
up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Los Lunas, Belen, Valencia, Bosque Farms, Los Chaves, Tome, Los
  Trujillos-Gabaldon, Rio Communities North, Rio Communities and
  Jarales.

This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 185 and 207.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
