.DISCUSSION....
Warm weather conditions continue for Monday with some areas
around the Seward Peninsula and the Eastern portions of the Yukon
Delta beginning to cool off. Isolated showers and thunderstorms
will remain near the Yukon Delta up to Shaktoolik and Galena for
the majority of the day, with showers and isolated storms picking
up at the southern parts of the central Brooks Range around noon.
Major weather pattern shift is expected Tuesday night with a
front moving east from Siberia. This front will move from the
northwest Arctic by midnight and shift south to the Yukon Delta
and western Interior by Wednesday morning. This front will bring
cooler temperatures, widespread wetting rain, and strong
southwest winds with gust up to 30 mph. Thunderstorms will not
occur behind the front due to a more stable air mass.
