DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat and humidity will continue today with heat indices
in the 105 to 115 degree range this afternoon.

A few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible
late tonight across portions of far northeast Oklahoma, near the
Oklahoma, Kansas state line.

WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.
FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

SUNDAY AND MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
The hot and humid weather will continue over most areas Wednesday
and Thursday. Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be
possible Wednesday across portions of northeast Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas as a frontal boundary approaches. A few of
these storms could be strong to marginally severe with locally
damaging winds.

More widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely Thursday
evening into the overnight hours as the front pushes through the
region. Some of these storms could also be strong to severe with
locally heavy rainfall.

Less hot and humid conditions are expected behind the front on
Friday. At least low thunderstorm chances will be possible through
the weekend as a series of upper disturbances move out of the
central Plains.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
Heat related illness will remain possible over the next few days.
Thunderstorms could impact some outdoor Fourth of July activities
across northeast Oklahoma, especially late Thursday evening into
the overnight hours.
