much of Eastern Oklahoma.

ONSET...This Evening and Overnight.

DANGEROUS HEAT.

AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Ongoing.

AREA AT GREATEST RISK...Eastern Oklahoma and West-Central Arkansas.

DISCUSSION...
Dangerous heat and humidity will continue this evening with heat
indices in the 105 to 115 degree range before cooling tonight.

A line of thunderstorms is ongoing early this evening across
north-central Oklahoma and south-central Kansas. There is a low
potential for these storms to impact portions of Osage and Pawnee
counties this evening as they move east-northeast. These storms
may produce strong, gusty outflow winds and small hail. Otherwise,
a few widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will remain
possible late tonight across portions of far northeast Oklahoma,
near the Oklahoma and Kansas state line.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Dangerous Heat Potential.
FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
SATURDAY...No Hazards.
SUNDAY AND MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
The hot and humid weather will continue over most areas Wednesday
and Thursday. Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be
possible Wednesday across portions of northeast Oklahoma and
northwest Arkansas as a frontal boundary approaches. A few of
these storms could be strong to marginally severe with locally
damaging winds.

More widespread showers and thunderstorms are likely Thursday
evening into the overnight hours as the front pushes through the
region. Some of these storms could also be strong to severe with
locally heavy rainfall.

Less hot and humid conditions are expected behind the front on
Friday. At least low thunderstorm chances will be possible through
the weekend as a series of upper disturbances move out of the
central Plains.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING STATEMENT...
Heat related illness will remain possible over the next few days.
Thunderstorms could impact some outdoor Fourth of July activities
across northeast Oklahoma, especially late Thursday evening into
the overnight hours.
