...Scattered thunderstorms to produce significant wind gusts
through this afternoon...

Scattered thunderstorms have developed across much of North
Central, Central, and Southwest Montana early this afternoon. Most
of these storms have been fairly weak, mainly producing a few
lightning strikes and dropping brief periods of rainfall.

However, some have produced wind gusts up to 45 mph and at least
pea sized hail.

If you are outdoors for work or recreation this afternoon, keep an
eye to the sky, and have a plan in place to seek shelter if a
storm approaches. When thunder roars, head indoors!
