...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Big Bend Florida, including the following
  counties, Jefferson and Madison and south central Georgia,
  including the following counties, Brooks, Colquitt, Lowndes and
  Thomas.

* WHEN...Until 830 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 524 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 4 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Quitman, Thomasville, Moultrie, Madison, Boston, Ochlocknee,
    Pavo, Coolidge, Barwick, Lee, Dixie, Pidcock, Brooks Co A/p,
    Oaklawn, Grooverville, Empress, Hollis, Everett, Ashville and
    Lovett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
