...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE
SUNDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Dangerous rip currents expected.

* WHERE...Walton, Bay, Gulf, and Franklin County Beaches.

* WHEN...From this evening through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
  from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Long period swell associated with distant
  Hurricane Beryl will arrive along area beaches this evening into
  tonight and linger through the weekend. This will favor the
  development of dangerous rip currents this evening through the
  weekend.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
