The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Wayne County in southern Utah...

* Until 200 PM MDT.

* At 113 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Capitol Reef
  National Park, moving east at 15 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Capitol Reef National Park, Fruita, and Caineville.

This includes Utah Route 24 between mile markers 79 and 107.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding of roadways in and around the park as well as slot
canyons and typically dry washes.
