...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northeastern Garfield
and southeastern Wayne Counties through 400 PM MDT
...

At 316 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles southeast of Hanksville to 23 miles
west of Hite Marina to 22 miles east of Boulder. Movement was east at
35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Capitol Reef National Park.

This includes the following highways...
 Utah Route 95 between mile markers 4 and 39.
 Utah Route 276 between mile markers 0 and 18.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for
southern and southeastern Utah.
