...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS APPROACHING
PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN PUERTO RICO...

At 619 AM AST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles southeast of Punta Santiago to near
Emajagua to 7 miles southeast of Arroyo. Movement was northwest at
25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in San Juan.
