...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

At 510 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms,
capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms
were located over the offshore Caribbean and Atlantic waters, and
across the local passages between the U.S. Virgin Islands and
eastern Puerto Rico, moving eastward about 20 knots. These
thunderstorms will continue to increase through the morning hours
as they are associated to the rainbands from Major Hurricane
Beryl. Strong gusty winds around 40 to 45 knots or higher are
possible across the Caribbean waters and the Mona Passage through
this period.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 40 knots, locally
higher waves, and frequent lightning strikes. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately.
