.DISCUSSION...
Changes in the weather pattern are finally in the offing later tonight
through much of next week, with cooler temperatures expected and periods
of showers and thunderstorms that will increase through the period. One
thunderstorm complex will develop by this evening over Central and Northeast
Oklahoma, and will begin to shift southeast into portions of Northeast Texas,
Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas after midnight tonight, but quickly
weaken as it progresses into a more stable air mass over the region. However,
boundaries leftover from these storms as well as the approach of a weak surface
front will focus scattered shower and thunderstorm redevelopment by afternoon over
Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas, progressing southeast through the region.
Locally gusty winds and brief heavy rainfall are possible, as this front becomes
stationary by Saturday morning over Southeast Texas and South Louisiana. Isolated
to widely scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible over Deep East Texas
and Central Louisiana Saturday, before this boundary returns back north and washes
out Sunday, but still resulting in an increase in scattered showers and storms
areawide. The unsettled weather pattern will continue through much of next week,
as moisture from Hurricane Beryl increases over the area from the southwest, and a
weak upper level disturbance lingers over the region. Thus, periods of showers and
storms and cooler temperatures/higher RH`s are expected for much of next week.
