This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal hail risk.
  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Significant excessive heat risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk
  Limited non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Hot and humid conditions will develop over the area today. Heat
index values this afternoon will reach the upper 90s to 108
degrees, mainly west of a Lake of the Ozarks to Branson line.

Late tonight, thunderstorms will begin to push into west central
and central Missouri. Some strong storms will be possible with
hail up to quarter size and wind gusts up to 50 mph possible. In
addition, torrential rainfall will be possible.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

The heat and humidity will linger through Thursday with some areas
again getting heat index values in the 100 to 110 degree range.

Strong to severe storms will be possible on Wednesday and Thursday
with damaging thunderstorm wind gusts as the main severe weather
risk. In addition, torrential rainfall may lead to some localized
flooding to develop.
