...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Missouri, including
  the following counties, in central Missouri, Benton and Hickory.
  In west central Missouri, St. Clair.

* WHEN...Until 630 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1230 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - This includes the following low water crossings...
    Hogles Creek at County Road 86, Turkey Creek at Jackman
    Avenue, Weaubleau Creek at 350 Road, Big Buffalo Creek at
    Highway WW, Little Niangua at County Road 200, Little Niangua
    at County Road 66 and Deer Creek at Highway V.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Warsaw, Hermitage, Lincoln, Appleton City, Cole Camp,
    Osceola, Lowry City, Wheatland, Preston, Cross Timbers,
    Roscoe, Vista, Gerster, Iconium, Harper, Whitakerville,
    Racket, Quincy, Fristoe, Palo Pinto, Edmonson, Hastain,
    Edwards, Lakeview Heights, Brandon, Monegaw Springs, Knobby,
    Zora, Johnson City, Mora, Crockerville, Tiffin, Taberville,
    Truman Lake, Lake of The Ozarks and Truman State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
