350 AGUS76 KRSA 291614 HMDRSA Hydrometeorological Discussion National Weather Service / California Nevada RFC / Sacramento CA 915 AM PDT Sat Jun 29 2024 ...SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVG TEMPS NEXT FEW DAYS THEN WELL ABOVE AVG SECOND HALF OF NEXT WEEK... ...FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE HIGHER TERRAIN OF KLAMATH BASIN THIS AFTERNOON AND PORTIONS OF FAR NE CA/NRN NV SUN... .METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (SAT AM - FRI AM)... SW flow aloft over most of the region today with a ridge axis toward the Rockies and trough axis offshore. Expect the potential for some isolated showers over mainly higher terrain of the Klamath basin this afternoon associated with a weak shortwave, and again Sun afternoon/evening in far NE CA and far northern NV due to another shortwave. Overall temperatures should be slightly above average into early next week, warming to well above average by midweek and beyond. Some guidance does show a slight potential for isolated showers in SW CA higher terrain and southern Sierra in the second half of next week with some moisture working its way into the region, but the potential appears fairly low at this point.
