AFTERNOON AND PORTIONS OF FAR NE CA/NRN NV SUN...

.METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS (SAT AM - FRI AM)...

SW flow aloft over most of the region today with a ridge axis toward
the Rockies and trough axis offshore. Expect the potential for some
isolated showers over mainly higher terrain of the Klamath basin
this afternoon associated with a weak shortwave, and again Sun
afternoon/evening in far NE CA and far northern NV due to another
shortwave. Overall temperatures should be slightly above average
into early next week, warming to well above average by midweek and
beyond. Some guidance does show a slight potential for isolated
showers in SW CA higher terrain and southern Sierra in the second
half of next week with some moisture working its way into the
region, but the potential appears fairly low at this point.
