...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN BOYD...SOUTHERN
GREENUP...SOUTHERN GALLIA...LAWRENCE AND NORTHWESTERN WAYNE COUNTIES
THROUGH 945 PM EDT...

At 910 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Wheelersburg to near Greenup to near
Greenbo Lake. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Huntington, Ashland, Ironton, Gallipolis, Coal Grove, Chesapeake,
Cannonsburg, Lake Vesuvius, Kenova, Catlettsburg, Ceredo, Greenup,
Princess, Coalton, Greenbo Lake, Oldtown, Naples, Franklin Furnace,
Flatwoods, and South Point.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 185 and 191.
 Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 1 and 6.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
