An early morning cold front from the northwest brings wetting rain chances (about 50%) between 0500L and 0900L. A northwest shift in wind occurs as well with the frontal passage. Much cooler today, with a high around 10 degrees lower than yesterday. An afternoon west wind increases, with gusts around 20 mph. Difficult rain forecast after the frontal passage this morning. Models are showing the best rain chances late morning and afternoon remaining north of the site, but not by too much. Chances are about 15% to 20% at the site for the late morning and afternoon today, but could be higher if rain occurs slightly more south than models are projecting. This chance of rain lasts until about midnight tonight. Tuesday looks similarly cool, with a less than 10% chance of rain. ...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds... ...Haines index is high level haines both day and night... .TODAY...
