Recent warm temperatures are producing rapid snow melt over the
higher terrain which has led to increased river flows upstream along
the Upper Arkansas River. Increased releases from Pueblo Reservoir
will cause water levels to rise to action stage for many lower
Arkansas River locations, though flood stage is not expected at this
time for locations listed above. Swift flowing water and unstable
river banks can be hazardous, and snow melt water is frigid. Stay
 away from river banks!
