This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and
evening across the central mountains, eastern mountains and eastern
plains. Activity is forecast to be more isolated across the high
valleys and southwest mountains.

For the higher elevations, the biggest concerns will be locally
heavy rainfall and potential flash flooding, especially over burn
scars and other vulnerable areas. Additionally, areas could see
frequent lightning and small hail.

For the eastern plains, scattered storms this afternoon will bring
gusty winds and periods of moderate to heavy rainfall. The threat of
severe storms increases along and east of a line from Crowley County
to Las Animas County, and the greatest potential will be found over
the southeast corner of the state. Main threats from storms further
east will be wind gusts up to 60 mph, 1.5 inch diameter hail,
periods of heavy rainfall and frequent cloud to ground lightning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected each afternoon
through the next seven days, with the exception of Thursday. The
main hazards from storms will be gusty outflow winds, lightning, and
hail. Storms that produce heavy rainfall could lead to flash
flooding concerns over burn scars and other vulnerable areas.

Thursday will be largely dry with a very small chance for any
storms, with the main concern being high fire danger due to dry
surface conditions and gusty winds.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.
