Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
342 AM MDT Thu Jul 4 2024

.Discussion...

Seasonably cool temperatures are expected across the district
today, with spotty critical fire weather conditions over parts of
the northern San Luis Valley and Chaffee County this afternoon.
Elsewhere, winds will be weaker and humidity will be a bit higher,
but things will still be dry enough for fire concerns in the
presence of fireworks.

For Friday into early next week, the flow will remain
northwesterly and generally dry, with spotty critical conditions
lasting over the Continental Divide through Sunday. Temperatures
will be near or below seasonal averages. There will be daily
chances for isolated to scattered storms, mainly over and just
east of the higher terrain.

Smoke dispersions will be good to very good today and Thursday.
