.DISCUSSION...A weather system currently bearing down on the
Pacific Northwest will make for shower and thunderstorm chances,
but primarily for the Cascades and far eastern mountains of Oregon
and SE Washington. Models do show a slight chance of storms moving
over the Basin and impacting the site during the day Saturday,
however, but confidence on this occurring is low. Outside of storm
chances, expect light, terrain-driven winds and partly cloudy to
clear conditions, with gradually cooling temps and improving RHs.

As far as the inversion layer and wind direction is concerned, forecast
models suggest the inversion will break at around 10 AM Saturday
morning and settle back in at around 11 PM to midnight. Wind
direction at the surface is projected to shift to upslope by
around noon to 1 PM at the latest, becoming downslope at around 11
PM to midnight at the latest.
