133 WGUS83 KPAH 261314 FLSPAH Flood Advisory National Weather Service Paducah KY 814 AM CDT Wed Jun 26 2024 MOC023-181-261615- /O.NEW.KPAH.FA.Y.0089.240626T1314Z-240626T1615Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Butler MO-Ripley MO- 814 AM CDT Wed Jun 26 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Missouri, including the following counties, Butler and Ripley. * WHEN...Until 1115 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 814 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Poplar Bluff, Naylor, Neelyville, Qulin, Fisk, Harviell, Milltown, Fairdealing, Hendrickson, Oxly, Budapest, Brush Arbor and Rombauer. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains.
