...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following
  counties, Alexander, Pulaski and Union, western Kentucky,
  including the following counties, Ballard, Carlisle and Hickman,
  and southeast Missouri, including the following county,
  Mississippi.

* WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 343 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of
    thunderstorms with heavy rain stretching from just south of
    Anna Illinois south into west Kentucky. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Cairo, Clinton, La Center, Bardwell, Wickliffe, Mounds,
    Dongola, Barlow, Tamms, Mound City, Karnak, Wyatt, Horseshoe
    Lake Conservation Area, Olive Branch, Ullin, Olmsted,
    Arlington, New Grand Chain, Pulaski and Columbus.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
