...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following
  counties, Johnson and Massac and western Kentucky, including the
  following counties, Graves and McCracken.

* WHEN...Until 645 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 420 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of
    thunderstorms with heavy rain extending from Goreville,
    Illinois south to Paducah and Mayfield Kentucky. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
    advisory area.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Paducah, Mayfield, Metropolis, Vienna, Lone Oak, Reidland,
    Goreville, Brookport, West Paducah, Barkley Regional Airport,
    New Columbia, Sedalia, Lynnville, Lake Of Egypt Area, Wingo,
    Kevil, Joppa, Water Valley, Cypress and New Burnside.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
