693 WGUS83 KPAH 261004 FLSPAH Flood Advisory National Weather Service Paducah KY 504 AM CDT Wed Jun 26 2024 MOC017-223-261515- /O.NEW.KPAH.FA.Y.0087.240626T1004Z-240626T1515Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Bollinger MO-Wayne MO- 504 AM CDT Wed Jun 26 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Missouri, including the following counties, Bollinger and Wayne. * WHEN...Until 1015 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 504 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marble Hill, Grassy, Cascade, Leopold, Zalma and Glenallen. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains.
