...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 AM CDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Illinois, including the following
  counties, Franklin, Jackson and Williamson.

* WHEN...Until 745 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 436 AM CDT, Radar indicates 1 to 2 inches of rain.
    Spotters report street flooding in West Frankfort. Minor
    flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Carbondale, Marion, Herrin, West Frankfort, Benton,
    Carterville, Johnston City, Christopher, Rend Lake Area,
    Zeigler, Crainville, Cambria, Royalton, Energy, Hurst,
    Valier, West City, Pittsburg, Thompsonville and North City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
