* Special Marine Warning for...

  Moriches Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 40 nm...

* Until 715 AM EDT.

* At 649 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 9 nm south of Montauk Shoal to 6 nm east of Buoy
  44017, moving northeast at 35 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, high waves, lightning, and heavy rain
are expected with these storms. If caught on the open water stay
below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
