  Central Long Island Sound...
  Peconic and Gardiners Bays...

* Until 1015 PM EDT.

* At 919 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 24 nm northwest of Bridgeport to near Norwalk
  Islands to 6 nm southeast of Cold Spring Harbor, moving east at 40
  knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Smithtown Bay and Penfield Reef around 925 PM EDT.
  Port Jefferson Harbor, Stratford Shoal, and Mouth of the
  Housatonic River around 930 PM EDT.
  Herod Point and New Haven Harbor around 945 PM EDT.
  The Thimbles around 955 PM EDT.
  Central Long Island Sound and Falkner Island around 1000 PM EDT.
  Mattituck Inlet and Madison Reef around 1005 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
Wind gusts 34 knots or greater, high waves, lightning, and heavy rain
are expected with these storms. If caught on the open water stay
below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.
