.The flood warning has been extended as the area is still
experiencing flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Iowa, including the following
  counties, Fremont, Mills and Pottawattamie and Nebraska, including
  the following counties, Butler, Cass, Douglas, Lancaster, Otoe,
  Saline, Sarpy, Saunders and Seward.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
  remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
  excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 211 PM CDT, emergency management reported ongoing
    flooding. Between 3 and 7 inches of rain fell overnight.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
    warned area. The threat for this much rain is low, but not
    impossible.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Omaha, Lincoln, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillion, Seward,
    Ralston, Wahoo, Gretna, David City, Bennington, Boys Town,
    Elkhorn, Millard, Offutt AFB, La Vista, Crete, Plattsmouth,
    Glenwood and Carter Lake.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
