...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Nebraska, including
  the following counties, in east central Nebraska, Sarpy and
  Saunders. In southeast Nebraska, Cass and Lancaster.

* WHEN...Until 345 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1239 AM CDT, the public reported heavy rain in the
    advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already
    occurring. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Waverly, Greenwood, Murdock, Alvo, South Bend, Mahoney State
    Park, Schramm Park State Recreation Area and Platte River
    State Park.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
