...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Iowa, including the following
  county, Pottawattamie and east central Nebraska, including the
  following county, Douglas.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1109 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Omaha, Council Bluffs, Ralston, Bennington, Boys Town,
    Elkhorn, Carter Lake, Valley, Waterloo, Benson, Standing Bear
    Lake, Aksarben, Midtown, Florence, Flanagan Lake, South
    Omaha, Zorinsky Lake, Eppley Airfield, Council Bluffs Airport
    and Old Market.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
