New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front will slowly move
into the waters today, passing E of the outer offshore areas
tonight. High pressure will build E over New England late
tonight, then move gradually E across the waters Fri through Sat
before shifting E of the area by Sat night. A warm front will
lift NE across the waters Sat and Sat night, and be followed by a
cold front slowly moving to the New England coast Sun then over
the waters Sun night. Low pressure will develop along the front
Sun night and Mon then lift NE over the waters Mon and Mon night.
