...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CHEROKEE...EASTERN POLK AND
SOUTHERN MONROE COUNTIES THROUGH 200 PM EDT...

At 116 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Smoky
Mountains-Twentymile Creek to 10 miles southeast of Etowah. Movement
was southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Andrews, Murphy, Ducktown, Tellico Plains, William L. Davenport
Refuge, Coker Creek, Violet, Turtletown, Copperhill, and Bullet
Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
