986 WGUS82 KMHX 190018 FLSMHX Flood Advisory National Weather Service Newport/Morehead City NC 818 PM EDT Thu Jul 18 2024 NCC061-103-107-133-190215- /O.NEW.KMHX.FA.Y.0017.240719T0018Z-240719T0215Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Duplin NC-Jones NC-Lenoir NC-Onslow NC- 818 PM EDT Thu Jul 18 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following counties, Duplin, Jones, Lenoir and Onslow. * WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 818 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
