ECC002-051600-
West Yreka-
Discussion for Western Klamath
251 PM PDT Thu Jul 4 2024

Hot and dry conditions will persist through the weekend as a
strong ridge of high pressure settles in. The hottest day will be
Saturday with the upper ridge shifting eastward Sunday into
Monday. The lower atmosphere will be very dry and unstable. As the
ridge moves overhead then eastward Saturday and Sunday, the winds
will increase a bit over the area helping fire weather conditions
to worsen. Low pressure approaches from the northern California
coast later Sunday into Monday which signals a subtle thunderstorm
threat into early next week. Confidence in the details of this
situation is low.
