The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Miami Beach to Cutler Ridge to 40 NM

* Until 115 PM EDT.

* At 1240 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing
  waterspouts were located along a line extending from 15 nm east of
  Sunny Isles to 6 nm northeast of Triumph Reef. The severe
  thunderstorms were very slowly moving to the west southwest.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
