393 WGUS82 KMFL 301620 FLSMFL Flood Advisory National Weather Service Miami FL 1220 PM EDT Sun Jun 30 2024 FLC011-099-301815- /O.NEW.KMFL.FA.Y.0092.240630T1620Z-240630T1815Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Broward FL-Palm Beach FL- 1220 PM EDT Sun Jun 30 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following counties, Broward and Palm Beach. * WHEN...Until 215 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1218 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slowly moving thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen during the last hour. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area during the next couple of hours from the slow moving thunderstorms. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. if the rainfall amount increase more than forecast, then a Flash Flood warning may be needed. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fort Lauderdale, Coral Springs, Pompano Beach, Davie, Plantation, Sunrise, Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach, Tamarac, Margate, Lighthouse Point, Lauderdale-By-The- Sea, Highland Beach, Lauderhill, Weston, Coconut Creek, Oakland Park, North Lauderdale and Lauderdale Lakes. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
