This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Low level humidity will increase through mid week. Afternoon
temperatures will top out in the 90s to around 100 degrees. Maximum
heat index values will range from 100 to 110 degrees Tuesday through
Friday.

Chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase Thursday into
Friday as a cold front arrives from the north. Strong to damaging
winds the main concern with storms that do form. Localized flash
flooding is also possible, mainly in northern and central sections
of the state.

Many folks will be celebrating July 4th outdoors, and the weather is
a major concern given heat, thunderstorms, and lightning. People are
advised to play it safe and monitor conditions closely during the
holiday.

Slightly cooler, drier, and more seasonal air is in the forecast by
this weekend. Thunderstorms will become more spotty as well.
