.NOW...
Through 5:30 pm...scattered thunderstorms will continue to
increase in coverage along and near a front stretching from near
Childress to Floydada to Abernathy to Morton. The strongest storms
will be capable of producing frequent cloud to ground lightning,
small hail, wind gusts in excess of 50 mph and brief heavy rain.
The individual thunderstorms will move slowly, with the overall
activity expected to gradually develop south and eastward. If you
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move
inside a building or hard-topped vehicle until the storm passes.
