Through 8:30 pm...thunderstorms will advance through the central and South Plains. The strongest activity will be capable of producing frequent cloud to ground lightning, heavy rain, wind gusts in excess of 50 mph and pockets of small hail. Locations most likely to be affected include Crosbyton, Ransom Canyon, Lubbock, Meadow, Brownfield and New Moore. If you can hear thunder you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
