Through 8:30 pm...thunderstorms will advance through the central
and South Plains. The strongest activity will be capable of
producing frequent cloud to ground lightning, heavy rain, wind
gusts in excess of 50 mph and pockets of small hail. Locations
most likely to be affected include Crosbyton, Ransom Canyon,
Lubbock, Meadow, Brownfield and New Moore. If you can hear thunder
you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Seek shelter in a
sturdy building or hard-covered vehicle and wait for the storm to
pass.

Through 8:30 pm...isolated showers and thunderstorms will persist
over portions of the southeast Texas Panhandle into the central
Rolling Plains. Gusty winds, lightning and brief downpours will be
possible with any thunderstorms, though most locations will remain
dry.
