...The National Weather Service in St Louis MO has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...Illinois...

  Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

  Mississippi River at Alton.

  Mississippi River at St. Louis.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor
this developing situation and issue follow up statements as
conditions change.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River near Herculaneum.

* WHEN...From Friday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 29.4 feet, Near this height, the Flux Building of the
  Doe Run Company begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 20.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    Friday morning and continue rising to a crest of 29.5 feet
    Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

* WHEN...From Friday afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 23.3 feet, Near this height, the outer road between
  Riverlands Way and the Lincoln Shields Access Road will close due
  to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early Friday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 23.5
    feet Sunday morning.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

    early Friday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 31.5
    feet early Saturday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
