...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Missouri, including the following
  counties, southwestern Audrain, Boone and northwestern Callaway.

* WHEN...Until 500 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 155 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in
    the advisory area due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban
    and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas
    have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Columbia, Mexico, Centralia, Hallsville, Auxvasse, Sturgeon,
    Murry, Midway, Harrisburg, Kingdom City, Benton City,
    Vandiver, Hatton and Thompson.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
