...POTENTIAL FOR THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUES OVER THE PACIFIC WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  East Santa Barbara Channel from Pt. Conception to Pt. Mugu CA
  including Santa Cruz Island...
  Inner waters from Point Mugu to San Mateo Pt. CA including Santa
  Catalina and Anacapa Islands...
  Outer waters from Santa Cruz Island to San Clemente Island to 60
  NM offshore including San Nicolas and Santa Barbara Islands...
  Waters from Pt. Sal to Santa Cruz Island CA and westward 60 nm
  including San Miguel and Santa Rosa Islands...

At 518 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered showers over the
coastal waters, offshore from Point Mugu to Gaviota. This activity
is moving northward around 30 knots, and will be capable of
producing local wind gusts to 30 knots. In addition, a few cloud-to-
water lightning strikes could accompany this activity as it moves
toward the coast of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties through the
evening hours.

Locations potentially impacted include...

West Point, Santa Cruz Island, Anacapa Island, Goleta Point, Rincon
Point, and Ventura Harbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Lightning is possible with this activity. If caught on the open
water, stay below deck if possible, and keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
