The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port
  Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM...
  Coastal waters from the Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to
  Port Fourchon Louisiana out 20 NM...

* Until 1015 AM CDT.

* At 919 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing
  waterspouts was located near Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, or 22 nm
  south of Grand Isle. The severe thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage
           vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
           Make sure all on board are in a secure location and
           wearing life jackets.

* Locations impacted include...
  Louisiana Offshore Oil Port.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
